Golden day for UdeG at the National University Games

With six more medals, he finished la Universidad de Guadalajara (UdeG), his participation in the Saturday session of the National University Games, after obtaining four gold medals and one silver medal in judo and a gold medal in triathlon.
 
Ambar Mariana Gutiérrez de Robles, from the University Center for Exact Sciences and Engineering (CUCEI), won the gold medal in the 63 kilogram judo division, a result he considers to be the fruit of a year's work in preparation.
 
“What had to be done was done, I am very happy and I will continue working for what is to come, this is my second Universiade, last year I did not win a medal and the key to obtaining it was to train more, put in more effort, have more discipline, that was what I set out to do and there are the results.”
 
Carlos Alejandro Godinez Casillas, from the University Center of Economic and Administrative Sciences (CUCEA), was another of the gold medal winners in judo in the 66 kilogram category, a fact that motivates him to continue preparing for other competitions.
 
“I’m very happy because I came so close last year. I was very nervous because I had some injuries, but it was all about heart and thanks to my family and my coach, and it motivates me to keep training. Now the national youth championships are coming up, and we’ll see if we qualify for the Pan American University Games.”
 
Other gold medal winners included Roberto Michel Hernández from CUCEA, in the 73 kilogram category, and Karla Jazmín Jaimez, from the University Center for Health Sciences (CUCS) in the 78-kilogram category, while Axayacatl Germán Ortega, from CUCS, won the silver medal in the 73 kilograms category.
 
In women's triathlon, the UdeG She reaffirmed her leadership after the student from CUCSVanessa de la Torre was proclaimed champion of the event that took place in Valle de Bravo.
 
For tomorrow, Diego Torres, from the University Center for Art, Architecture and Design (CUAAD), will compete for the gold medal in the 64 kilogram category.
 
So far, the UdeG He has accumulated seven gold medals, five silver medals and two bronze medals.
