Entry requirements

• Bachelor's degree or graduation exam certificate and proof of completion of social service for the bachelor's degree, for the careers of Medical Surgeon and Midwife, Biologist, Pharmaceutical Chemist, Biologist, Chemical Biologist Parasitologist, Biochemist, Nutritionist, Dentist or other career related to the area of ​​biomedicine; this document must be issued or recognized by la Universidad de Guadalajara.
• Minimum overall average of 80. If you come from a foreign university, the equivalent average, endorsed by the Academic Board of the program, must be considered.
• Proof of English language level B1 according to the Common European Framework.
• Letter of intent for admission to the Doctoral program.
• Letter of commitment to full-time dedication.
• Psychometric evaluation (aptitudes and stress management).
• Obtain a minimum overall score of 80 as a result of the selection process, which includes:
• Knowledge exam for the area with a passing grade.
• Presentation of a topic in the field of human genetics, designated by the Academic Board, to evaluate your ability to synthesize and think abstractly.
• Interview by an ad hoc committee to learn about your interest, skills and attitudes towards research.
• Evaluation of your curriculum vitae.
• Approve the other requirements published in the respective call for applications. 

For international students, in addition to the above, documents must be apostilled and, if in a language other than Spanish, translated by a certified translator. Furthermore, a technical assessment must be requested from the Postgraduate Coordination office. 

Requirements to obtain the degree

• Having completed all the credits in the curriculum. 
• To have advised at least one undergraduate or master's student during the course of their training. 
• To have presented at least three papers at a conference during the course of their training.
• Applicants must have published at least two articles, including one as first author and derived from their thesis or line of research, in journals listed in the Journal Citation Reports-Thomson Reuters, since entering this program. It is clarified that the same article cannot be considered as the first author article for two different students. The impact factor of the publications should preferably be greater than 0.5.
• Present proof of no outstanding debt issued by the School Control Coordination of the University Center for Health Sciences. 
• Cover the corresponding fees.
